Booked as a girlie wholesome retreat and it was absolutely perfect. Lovely quiet area, had everything we needed (we even had everything to cook a roast for 5 of us) and the layout was perfectly open and social. Andrea was very helpful and responsive to all messages and questions I had. Everything was smooth sailing, would definitely stay here again. Beautiful place and great location!
We really enjoyed our stay at Andrea's place, it was a perfect fit for taking a break and enjoying the summers in a very peaceful environment with ample amenities. The architecture of the place is quite relaxing, even the outdoor sitting was calming with the views of rabbits hopping and great sunlight. I would 100% recommend this stay to anyone thinking of visiting. A 10/10 place from my side.
Lovely lodge. Exactly as described. The surroundings were beautiful and within an easy drive from Lake District National Park. The lodge was very clean, pristine with very clean bedding. Host had a lot of amenities kept for us. It's in a very peaceful area as well.
Peaceful location and cosy lodge. Great spot to explore the lakes. Lots of games to keep everyone entertained. Plus lots of rabbits about in the neighbourhood!
We found the lodge to be much more spacious and light than it appears in the photos. Warm and cosy. The children loved the black sheep and rabbits and we loved the peace and quiet and rural walks. Andrea was very responsive and answered all our queries quickly giving us information about the area and where to take the grandchildren. Thank you and we hope to return in the future.
Fig Tree Lodge was located in a perfect spot for our planned activities in the Northern Lakes. A beautiful lodge, pristinely clean and comfortable, perfect for the family and our pooch. Andrea and Jacqui were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!
The Fig Tree Lodge was a perfect getaway for our extended family over Christmas. 3 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs had the best time and would look forward to coming again. You definitely do need a car, and most sights and shops are about 20 min away. But that did not stop us from exploring everyday! The surroundings are stunning.
Fig Tree Lodge was everything we could have wanted and more. The lodge was easy to find and perfectly located for a quiet get away. Peaceful with the forest backing on to the fully enclosed garden. Very spacious parking too. Inside, everything we needed was available and the lodge was warm, cosy and most importantly very clean. The mattresses were so comfortable it's made me want to reevaluate my mattress at home! We slept extremely well. Andrea was excellent at responding to us. We will 100% be returning to the lodge, and thoroughly recommend it for a peaceful getaway to the lakes.
A hidden gem. Great location to get to Ullswater and surrounding area; we booked the lodge for the Helvellyn Triathlon, only 25/30 mins away. Super warm, and cosy — the beds were super comfy! Lots of space in the lodge with things to do for the kids which was brilliant after a day hiking! Great for the dogs too, the enclosed area was brilliant to let out excited zoomies! Very happy with our stay, thank you for having us!

Absolutely — Fig Tree Lodge is proudly pet friendly. There's a safe, fully enclosed garden, and we provide dog bowls and dog towels. We simply ask that pets are not left unattended in the lodge and stay off the beds and furniture.
The lodge comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups of friends.
Yes, there is private off-road parking right beside the lodge with space for two cars, free of charge.
